The landscaped medians at Star Valley won a first place award in the 2006 Xeriscape Awards sponsored by Arizona Department of Water Resources & Tohono Chul Park.

Award-winning landscape was recognized for "Best Use of Sonoran and Chihuahuan Native Plants" by judges.

Plants were selected to minimize maintenance and conserve water.

Groundcovers provide color almost year-round.
